GOP on Economic Recovery

So almost all conservatives voted against the bailout bill. What concerns me is now the conservative network is invested in the bailout's failure, vis a vie, the US economy's failure. So now for this current version of the Republican Party to do better in future elections (barring the return to original Republican values) is if the now Democrat bailout fails. If campaign contributions are an indicator, the conservatives have the support of most of the worst big businesses.  Control of markets and hiring puts them in a strong position to make that happen.
