Sierra Club Crimes

I am have concerns about the direction Sierra Club and other environment groups like Defenders of Wildlife are taking these days.  I believe responsible humans leave the earth in better shape than they found it.  These organizations are doing significant damage to the environmental movement.

This article highlights one of the ways Sierra and others are hurting the environment in the long run:

Sierra, Defenders of Wildlife and the Center for Biological Diversity are leaching funds from our super important solar energy investors:

And my D senator Feinstein kills 13 big solar projects to "protect environment".

I've recently directed my concerns to Sierra Club directly:

Please stop fighting solar plants in southern CA.  The best way to protect turtles and squirrels is to end GHGs.  Once built, I imagine solar shade could actually enhance habitat.

I have been a member since high school and am concerned that Sierra Club is falling on the wrong side of many issues.  I've seen Sierra Club come out against hydro dams and nuclear too (just read a great article on how Thorium MSR plants are zero emission and do away with much of the nuclear waste).

And what's with the travel program.  Muir is turning in his grave at the emissions that Sierra Club produces in his name.  The least Sierra can do is require offsets.
