Conservative Arguments

I 'work' with a wide range of individuals and so, am exposed to a wide range of attitudes.  I got the "How did he get there" email showing a bunch of stuck animals and then Obama at his desk.  I lowered myself to respond:

Dude, regarding the animals getting stuck email, it's funny and everything but with all the hate and division etc, it doesn't seem helpful.  When you can't attack a man's intelligence, sincerity, integrity, family values etc. I suppose you are only left the low lying less ripe stuff.

I'm an independent with issue positions on both sides of the current political spectrum.  Both sides are self serving.  Each time I go to vote though, I end up voting the left.  As a sailor I find it hard to stomach the conservative anti environment mandate.  Separately, hypocrisies like being pro war while pro Christian?  The list goes on.

I have friends that are conservative and we've determined that it is because they are operating on Faux facts, are pro war aerospace or because they are openly anti minority/poor.  I have not found a conservative that can explain to me that Republicans have any real solutions to our problems.  It seems that shouting what's wrong is the parties whole platform.  It's weak.

I participate in a fun project that is sorting through the issues to find a third party platform that benefits long term solutions to our countries (and inevitably, the world's) larger issues.  If you know anyone that can intelligently make conservative arguments, he/she would be welcome in the discussion.
