US Drill Hoax

Drilling all the US would save only pennies at the pump. Drilling costs billions in spills, leaks, health and emmissions effects.

"The EIA found that access to the Pacific, Atlantic, and eastern Gulf of Mexico regions would ... have little or no impact on price. The Natural Resources Defense Council estimated that the price of oil would only drop about 3–4 cents in 15 to 20 years."

On EIA report opening offshore drilling lowers gas price 3 cents a gallon in 2030:

"It is cruel to mislead the public on a subject that matters so much to all Americans. If only we had a politician willing to engage in straight talk on this important issue."

"if tomorrow we opened up every square mile of the outer continental shelf to offshore rigs, even if we drilled the entire state of Alaska and pulled new refineries out of thin air, the impact on gas prices would be minimal and delayed at best."

Carl Rove: "The Energy Information Agency [sic] ... is a respected nonpartisan branch of our government"
OPEC could neutralize any potential price impact of ANWR oil production by reducing its oil exports by an equal amount.
It's the Energy Information Administration

The best way to enact Carbon Capture is to leave the oil in the ground.
