Chevron is investing in the huge solar farms in CA. We talked about this way back when. Are oil companies going to continue to resist renewables and get left out in the cold or will they embrace it, if just to cover their losses. We're hoping for the latter. More profitable still would be to invest heavily and dominate the future of energy markets.
Computer networks managing Iran nuclear facilities are suffering from a brutal virus. Is it Us or Israel or is someone else responsible? Who cares? Justice is being done by some clever individual or group. Yep, Iran is entitled to a nuclear energy program but should be stopped short of weapons possession considering their very unstable leadership. The same could have been argued here, when under Bush.
Gold is up and billionaires are buying. The same ones that profited heavily in the '08-'09 downturn. Do they know something we don't? They usually do as they are in a position to create downturns and vice versa (219 new billionaires created in 2009). I'm not buying it though. I'm seeing a very slow recovery. On that, I think our aim should be slow steady growth. Explosive growth that everyone is looking for, has every time, caused explosive implosions. Let's learn from history.
CA conservatives want to repeal our green legislation. We are set to own the green revolution the way we owned the internet revolution. Why would anyone want to kill off an entire industry along with it's job and wealth generation ... unless of course you represent the fossil fuel conglomerates. Then it makes sense.
I'm running for office! As soon as speaking to truth and acting on facts becomes fashionable again. I'll never hold my tongue while the big picture is being thrown under the train of special interests.
