Union Rule

Emailed from a friend obstensibly because of the problems his company has been having with being required by the county to hire union workers.

Response: The poster got me thinking - workers are forced to unionize or they're not allowed to work whether they're hardworking, democrat or otherwise. Yep, unions hurt the country as does divisive politics.

I was serious about getting a proposition on the ballot allowing workers the right to not unionize and still be eligible for hire. Push it through in CA and it would be an example to other states. It could be written to help hard working people trapped in all union situations.

Your industry would benefit financially and might be prodded to help fund the effort; legal work, petition signing etc. The issue would get hardworking Dems and Reps both fired up to end union rule.

Without unions you may have worker quality concerns (which is likely how Villagrosa pushed through the legislation) but you could start a private firm that tests and issues credentials = $$. A short cut might be to get the Villagrosa 'union only' legislation to be ruled unconstitutional - as it seems to be just that.
