Buy Smart

The best way to make a change in the world is not how you vote, though that matters.  Your most powerful influence is where you spend your money.  Vote with your very influential dollars.  I prefer to buy stuff that is made more locally, uses recycled or reused components or that is organic in origin.

I also choose to not spend money with companies that do harm to us.  I've cut out fast junk food because the fatty stuff hurts people.  Also, I don't like travelling to small countries and seeing the infection of our monster fast food corps springing up like a rash.

I don't buy products from corporations that put making money over basic morality.  Koch industries has spent 50 million denying global warming.  Their products include dixie cups, cato institute and lycra.  Granted, I don't have use for any of those.

I do tune into Fox 'news' to see which sponsors I need to add to the boycott list.  Fair and Balanced with 5 paid commentators running in the Republican president race.  0 Democrats.  Are you fooled?
